As a Buyer at Adidas, you will be responsible for executing tactical buying processes within specified thresholds. Your role will involve supplier identification, negotiation, and selection, as well as delivering sourcing results to meet cost-saving targets while ensuring service level agreements are met. You will also play a crucial role in supporting procurement automation by seeking opportunities to increase catalogue coverage.
To excel in this position, you should possess the skills and abilities necessary to execute tactical buying processes for low and mid-value items. You will be involved in sourcing events valued up to 1M EUR, analyzing mid-value tactical buys, and facilitating high-value tactical buys with the responsible category manager. Experience in conducting sourcing projects, negotiation, and supplier selection is essential, as is the ability to respond to suppliers' queries.
Execute eSourcing Events and Support Strategic Sourcing Initiatives
As a Buyer at Adidas, you will be responsible for conducting eSourcing events in Ariba and ensuring timely tendering processes. You will execute negotiations, supplier selection, and determine purchase order terms and conditions. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you initiate the order signature process, follow up on distribution to suppliers, and manage any necessary changes or modifications to purchase orders related to tactical buys.
In addition to your tactical buying responsibilities, you will also play a key role in supporting tail spend reduction and channeling spend through strategic suppliers or channels. You will regularly analyze tactical buy activities and provide feedback to category managers on recurring tactical buys, identifying opportunities for standardization and automation. You will also execute requests for quotations for potential catalogue items and support the introduction of automated buying channels by facilitating the interaction between suppliers and content specialists.
Furthermore, as a Buyer at Adidas, you will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives. Your advanced knowledge of sourcing execution strategies, contract management, and procure-to-pay processes will be valuable in driving the success of these initiatives.
